Uses:
Cough and whooping cough is cured by the essence made by boiling 5 gm half-crushed green leaves of rosary pea with the same amount of green sacred basil into a cup of water until the water is reduced to a half. The same dose must be applied 2-3 times a day for about 10-15 days.
Neural and physical weakness is reduced by 1 gm seed powder of rosary pea with the same amount of winter cherry and asparagus powder. The same dose must be applied 2 times a day for about 20-25 days.
Hair color comes from melanin that gives hair its pigment. Melanin is increased by using the oil made by boiling 1 gm half-crushed seed of rosary pea with 100 ml sesame oil and 200 ml sap of Bringa raj into a cup of water until the whole water is reduced and only the oil is left. The oil is to be applied on the hairs two times a day for about 1-2 months.
The seeds of Rosary pea cause abortion. Only one dose of the mixer of the sap of Rosary pea and turmeric sap is sufficient to end the immature pregnancy.
The paste of its seeds when externally applied reduces pain on the shoulders and the hips, sciatica and paralysis.
The external use of the paste of leaves cures leucoderma, scabies and other skin diseases.
Its root cures gonorrhea, jaundice, and belly-ache. It also cures the problems arisen from overeating.
The injury is cured by smearing the sap of rosary pea with that of turmeric. It also used as the antitoxic serum counteracting the venoms of snakes.
Excessive disturbances of worms can be removed by internal application of rosary pea powder. The dose is 1 teaspoon powder and twice a day.
