Scientific name: Abrus precatorius L.
Useable parts: root, leaves, seeds,
Uses:
   Cough and whooping cough is cured by the essence made by boiling 5 gm half-crushed green leaves of rosary pea with the same amount of green sacred basil into a cup of water until the water is reduced to a half. The same dose must be applied 2-3 times a day for about 10-15 days.
     Neural and physical weakness is reduced by 1 gm seed powder of rosary pea with the same amount of winter cherry and asparagus powder. The same dose must be applied 2 times a day for about 20-25 days.
   Hair color comes from melanin that gives hair its pigment. Melanin is increased by using the oil made by boiling 1 gm half-crushed seed of rosary pea with 100 ml sesame oil and 200 ml sap of Bringa raj into a cup of water until the whole water is reduced and only the oil is left. The oil is to be applied on the hairs two times a day for about 1-2 months.
    The seeds of Rosary pea cause abortion. Only one dose of the mixer of the sap of Rosary pea and turmeric sap is sufficient to end the immature pregnancy.
    The paste of its seeds when externally applied reduces pain on the shoulders and the hips, sciatica and paralysis.
    The external use of the paste of leaves cures leucoderma, scabies and other skin diseases.
     Its root cures gonorrhea, jaundice, and belly-ache. It also cures the problems arisen from overeating.
    The injury is cured by smearing the sap of rosary pea with that of turmeric. It also used as the antitoxic serum counteracting the venoms of snakes.
    Excessive disturbances of worms can be removed by internal application of rosary pea powder. The dose is 1 teaspoon powder and twice a day.

Besides, its seeds have many uses. Its seeds clear constipation, purifies the blood and acts against the inflammation and insomnia. It is also used as antibechic (relieving cough), antidysuric (a remedy against the difficulty in voiding urine), antifebrile (reducing fever), antibiotic, vermicide, anodyne (a pain relieving medicine). It is an agent increasing sexual desire.

Precaution: Excessive dose may create headache.  

Tellicherry

English name: Tellicherry                                          
Scientific name: Holarrhena antidysenterica.
Useable parts: bark and seed
Uses:

1)    Diarrhea is cured by the essence made by boiling 5-10 gm half-crushed bark of Tellicherry into two cups of water until the water is reduced to a half.
    2)    Blood dysentery is cured by the essence made by boiling 10-20 gm half-crushed bark of Tellicherry into 3-4 cups of water until the water is reduced to a cup.
    3)    Sores of oral cavity are cured by gargling with the essence made by boiling 10 gm half-crushed bark of Tellicherry into 3-4 cups of water. This must be done 3-4 times a day.
    4)    1-2 gm seed powder swallowed with honey two times a day for 5-7 day kills worms.

    5)    Coating of seed crush over infected area cures leprosy.
    6)    Its leaves cure white ulcers on the gums.
    7)    It reduces the pain and swelling due to the venoms
 of snakes

    8) Its root powder mixed with moon creeper cures chronic fever.

1-2 gm seed crush,
5-7 drops mother tincture 4-5 times a day,

Senna sophera

Scientific name: Cassia sophera Linn.
Useable parts: The whole herb.
Senna sophera
Uses:
     1)  Boil 5-7 gm of dried senna sophera with the same amount of mint in two cups of water until the water is reduced to a half. Take out the essence and drink to cure apositia (a loathing for food). 
     2)   3-4 teaspoons sap of its leaves taken twice a day with one glass of water of green coconut cures diarrhea. After cure further dose should be stopped.
3)    Boil 5-7 gm of dried senna sophera in two cups of water until the water is reduced to a half. Take out the essence and drink with the same amount of the sap of sacred basil and 2-3 teaspoons honey to cure asthma, cough and bronchitis. The dose should be 3-4 times a day.

Besides, it cures normal ring worms and red swelling of the skin in patches.
         Doses:
         3-4 teaspoons sap,
5-7 gm powder
8-10 drops of mother tincture
Precaution: No excessive dose.                                 


Black night shade

Useable parts: The whole herb.
Black night shade 
Uses:
 1)   50-60 ml essence or 10-12 teaspoonfuls of the hot sap of black night shade taken twice a day in an empty stomach removes inflammation of liver, stomach and tongue.
 2)   It is the great remedy of jaundice. 50-60 ml essence or a half-cup of the sap of black night shade taken twice a day in empty stomach cures jaundice.
3)    50-60 ml essence or 10-12 teaspoonfuls of the hot sap of black night shade taken twice a day removes dysuria (difficulties of voiding urine).
4)    Fruit of black night shade cooked with small fishes or chopped tender leaves eaten with fried rice or its oil massaged on the skin cure scabies.
5)    50-60 ml essence or 10-12 teaspoonfuls of the hot sap of black night shade taken twice a day removes dropsy.
6)    The bandage of its leaves over the infected area cures the gout

12-14 teaspoons sap
Precaution: Excessive doses may produce the diseases of urinary bladder.

Negundo

Useable parts: leaves and seeds,

Uses:

 1) 5 gm powder of leaves plus I gm clove swallowed two times a day with 3-4 teaspoon honey removes rheumatoid arthritis and gout.
2)     Tumours are vanished if the paste of leaves is coated daily over them.

3)      500mg leaf powder eaten with honey or sugar in an empty stomach acts as antevermic i.e. kills vermes.

4) 1 teaspoon sap of leaves taken 2-3 times a day with honey cures influenza.

Negundo
5)   Irregular and feeble menstruation (menses) is cured by using its leaves as tea.

6)   One attacked by fever with vomiting and severe thirst should take its flowers and root.

Madagascar periwinkle

Useable parts: leaves, flowers, root or the whole herb
Uses:                                                
   1) Leucorrhoea is cured by 4-8 teaspoons of essence of its flowers and leaves taken two times a day. The dose  must be applied regularly for 1-2 months.
   2)  2-4 teaspoon sap or essence of its root taken in an empty stomach reduces high blood pressure. Medical test must be done at an interval of 4-5 days.

   3) Poisonous sores are cured by washing them with essence of its leaves and bark.

    4) The essence of the whole herb and undried turmeric when taken twice a day cures diabetes.One can test one’s sugar level at an interval of 6-10 days and re-determine the necessary dose until the sugar level comes below 7. It has been used as a remedy for diabetes for years.

Besides, it cures cancer, tumours and children’s leucoma (a dense opacity of the cornea of the eyes).

Uses:
        3 gm flower powder mixed with ajowan powder taken twice a day after diets acts as a tonic for liver and stomach.
        The sap of its undried flower taken with honey or sugar in the morning cures piles.

        It also cures dysuria (suppression in voiding urine). For this put 10-12 gm of its undried chopped flowers into one glass of water and keep for 4-5 hours. Heat the water with flower pieces until it begins just to boil. Mix honey with the water separated from flower pieces to drink.
        Besides, it is used to cure rheumatic fever, burning sensation of the anal canal and with ginger to cure diaphoresis (increased sweat). Its fruit are used to cure belly-ache and remove cough. Its buds are used to cure dysentery.
Doses:
3-12gm powder of its flower
Precaution:
Excessive doses may produce burning sensation of the body.

Uses:
Dip two teaspoonfuls of Ispaghula into one glass of water and keep at rest for about one hour to make ispaghula drink which can remove constipation when taken in an empty stomach.

Uses:
 1)   Fenugreek is an excellent herb to reduce the glucose level of our body. 1-2 teaspoonfuls of seed crush swallowed two times a day before diet is so effective to prevent diabetes.

2)   1-2 gm teaspoonfuls of seed crush swallowed two times a day with water control high blood pressure.
3)      The same dose with honey cures dysentery and diarrhea.
4)      It reduces all the symptoms of rheumatism.
5)     Leaves used with curry reduces constipation (hardness oh fecal discharge.6)   Its seed crush when licked with honey cures piles and when swallowed 2-3 times a day with water recovers the difficulties after delivery.

Coriander

Uses:
     1)    5-10 seed powder of coriander taken 2- 3 times a day for 20 - 30 days can reduce dipsosia (the severity of thirst) and dermatology (painful burning of the skin).

     2)     Indigestion and abdominal emphysema can be cured by using 7 – 10 gm seed powder of coriander; taken 2-3 times a day for 15 days,
     3)  Insomnia (want of sleep) and fetid odor of the breath are destroyed by regular taking of coriander after diet for 15-20 days.
     4)   To cure trichorosus (rapid loss of hair) and parasitic fungi attacking skin the oil of coriander can be regularly massaged. Its paste can also be used.

    5)    The green leaves of coriander have power to reduce high blood-pressure. Take it as many times as one needs at an interval of 2-3 hours.
    6)     Hiccup happens due to flatulency (windiness in stomach and bowels), indigestion or acidity. Hiccup is curable by coriander.
Moreover it prevents bleeding through nose, inflammation of eyes, piles, intestinal worms, belly-ache, constipation (confinement of bowels), fever, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhea, dysentery, etc.

Precaution: Excessive use causes cold.

Scientific name: Myristica  fragrans Hoult.
Uses:
1) The powder of nutmeg tree cures toothache, eye-ache and scabies.
2) Acnes and facial spots are removed by using the powder of nutmeg tree with honey.
3) Nutmeg tree is used to prevent diarrhea, dysentery, abdominal emphysema, belly-ache, vomiting and nervous pain.

Black berry


English name: Black berry
Scientific name: Syzygium cumini (L). Skeel
Uses:
Diabetes: 5 gm seed powder of black berry plus 5 gm fenurgreek powder; 2-3 times a day reduces diabetes.
Dysentery: 3-4 teaspoonfuls of sap of young black berry leaves plus the same amount of the sap of pomegranate, 3-4 times daily for 7-10 days reduces blood dysentery. Addition of goat’s milk enhances the effect.
Billary vomit: 2-3 teaspoonfuls of decoction of young black berry leaves with honey relieves billary vomit.
Decay of teeth and gum-ache:  Leaves of black berry have antibacterial character to protect teeth and gum.
Anemia and physical debility: A cup of black berry ripe fruit sap with sugar can remove anemia and physical debility.
Dos Therapy:
Black berry fruit look like gall-bladder. Any disorder arising here is curable by sufficient use of black berry.
