Scientific name: Trachyspermum roxburghianum (Dc.) craib,
Uses:
Indigestions and abdominal emphysema: 1-2 gm seed powder with rock salt and water, two times a day after diet reduces stomach swelling and increases digestive power.

Ajowan seeds
Dyspepsia and belly-ache: 2-3 gm seed powder with a little of dried ginger powder, black salt and water cures dyspepsia and belly-ache.

Rheumatalgia and neuralgia: The oil extracted from ajowan seed cures rheumatic and nervous pain. The oil should be massaged on the infected area.

Vomiting: 1-3 gm fried ajowan seed powder with water removes vomiting.

Doses:
Seed powder: 1-3 gm,

Oil: As much as necessary,

Precaution: Excessive use may cause headache.
