Turmeric


Turmeric herb

English name: Turmeric
Scientific name: Curcuma longa Linn
Usable part: Rhizome 
Uses:
1) Liver debility and jaundice: Drink 4 teaspoonfuls of turmeric sap with cold water on empty stomach two times a day to reduce liver weakness and jaundice.
2) Scabies: Internal application of 4 teaspoonfuls of turmeric sap with honey and cold water two times a day and coating  the paste of  undried turmeric and neem leaves on infected area cure scabies. The dose duration is 1-2 months.
 3) Allergy: Regular swallow of mixture of ground emblic myrobalan, ground neem leaves and ground turmeric mitigates the allergy problem.
4) External application of turmeric paste keeps the skin decontaminated and disinfected.

 5) Turmeric paste beaten with lime can be coated over sprained part to reduce the pain.
6) 1 teaspoonful of turmeric sap with honey and sugar cures urinary burning sensation and saliva discharging gonorrhea.
Besides, it is used as vermicide (wormicide) and dysuria (a remedy against difficulty of urination), antibechic (relieving cough), anti-allergic. It eases the dejection (alvine discharge) and reduces dyspnoea (breathing trouble).
Dos therapy: Its hue is similar to our skins’. It is effective on skin against acne, abscess, allergy, and ring worms, freckle. Daily use of 1-3 teaspoonfuls of its sap or 1-1.5 gm powder enhance skin brightness and cure the skin diseases.
